Lake Erie Sunset

One of my favorite places on earth.  The beach at Sheldon Calvary Camp on the shores of Lake Erie.

Davis Pool

The Davis Pool is a lovely little pond that provided hours of fun for the kids this year.  Solely used for fishing at this point, but I think that in the future you might see some kayaks on the water.

52 Project (Week 35) - Labor Camp

I have wanted to experiment with photographing the Milky Way for a few months now, and our trip to Sheldon Calvary Camp over Labor Day weekend is probably my last opportunity for the year.  When I was there in early August the moon was full, which polluted the night sky with light.

The first image is my weekly entry, and the remaining images are some of my favorites from the weekend.

52 Project (Week 32) - Floating

There was very little wind on the sailing excursion this year.  Therefore, it became a floating excursion instead, with the hopes of better wind another day.

52 Project (Week 31) - St. Michael's by the Lake

I have made many photographs of this church over the last several years.  However, this is the first from a head on angle.  St. Michael's by the Lake sits on a cliff overlooking Lake Erie and is part of the Sheldon Calvary Camp campus.

52 Project (Week 26) - Win-Win

On Sunday we dropped Jonah off at Sheldon Calvary Camp for his first year of sleep away camp.  He was super excited as you can see by the image below.  So it was a "Win" in his mind, and when we arrived home I snapped the photo of Harper below.  Likewise, a few days without her brother was a "Win" for her too.

What Sign!

Around this time when it is super cold and snowy, I like to think about when it was warm.  I was cruising through some of my images from this summer and stopped at this one.  Camp applications should be coming out soon.

Louisa

During our trip to camp in September we went down to the beach with all the kids.  Louisa happened to be at the beach too, and was also kind enough to let me take a few photos of her.

The Next Generation

While we were at "Labor Camp" this year several of the kids and parents went to the beach to climb the rocks and skip some stones.  I was able to capture this image while Jonah and James were having a conversation.  I imagine it was something like, "We will own this beach in a couple years!"

Do You See It?

While at camp this year I was able capture a moment when all the kids where looking out at the lake for boats.
