52 Project (Week 16) - Home Office

It rarely happens these days, but I was able to work from home on Monday.  It was a beautiful afternoon, so I grabbed my stuff and set up shop on the back deck.  If only this could be a regular occurrence.  I suppose I should just be thankful that I could take advantage of it when I did.

52 Project (Week 15) - Opening Day

Opening day for little league happened this weekend and our little guy got to catch for a couple innings.  He was thrilled to put on the oversized gear, I think he felt like Iron Man or something.  They lost the game, but everyone had a great time.  I am very excited to see him progress as the season moves along.

52 Project (Week 14) - Reflecting

Over the weekend we had our first garage sale and probably our last.  Sue now recognizes the amount of effort involved in such a task, and now believes donating our lightly used items to a charity is the best course of action in the future.

While our garage sale was in progress I noticed the mirrors leaning against the garage and a snapped a few images.  Garage sales are interesting, whether you are hosting it or attending one the items being sold are a reflection of the past.

A Day at the Park with my Fujifilm X100s

I have had my Fujifilm X100s for almost a year now and I am still impressed with the images it produces.  One of the features that I have come to depend on is running in silent mode, which allows me to take photos undetected.  It takes a little getting used to the timing of the camera, since there is not the traditional shutter "click" sound, but once you get there it allows for the photographer to operate in a stealth mode.

The weather was beautiful today, so after lunch we took the kids to the park to play and hike.  Obviously I took my camera, and I sat quietly on a bench taking photos of my kids and other random people during the afternoon.

Below are a few of my favorites from the day.

52 Project (Week 13) - The Trip Home

I took this on the way home Tuesday afternoon.  I was in my car waiting at the traffic light when he rolled up next to me.  I see this cyclist occasionally during my commute to work, and he commutes by bicycle almost daily, which is very impressive considering the stretch of road he travels and the weather he tolerates.  I am very excited that the weather is starting to warm up and I will be able to get out and ride more myself.

As a side note, when I was posting this image I noticed the title from last weeks post and decided to leave it the same.  Maybe next week will change it up.
